About the Winery
François Cazin is one of the most respected, endearing, and consistently brilliant artisan winemakers in Cheverny. His modest, dedicated approach yields wines of tremendous honesty, pure fruit clarity, and unbeatable value across the central Loire Valley. His classic Cour-Cheverny stands as a textbook benchmark of varietal purity, offering chiseled minerality, baked orchard fruits, quince, and a tactile chalky grip that develops magnificent complexity with several years of patient bottle aging. In great vintages, the late-harvest Renaissance cuvée is an absolute triumph of delicate sweetness, candied citrus, and mouthwatering savory acidity. White and red Cheverny bottlings enchant with fresh, succulent fruit that brings instant joy to any table. An essential, trustworthy family address that we recommend with complete and enthusiastic confidence.
Visiting the Winery
Featured Wines
Domaine du Petit Chambord crafts a versatile and expressive range of wines representing AOC Cheverny, AOC Cour-Cheverny, and Crémant de Loire. White Cheverny blends combine the crisp citrus aromatics and floral lift of Sauvignon Blanc with the textured elegance and roundness of Chardonnay. In Cour-Cheverny, the Romorantin grape reveals a chiseled, mineral profile with nuances of green apple, quince, and chamomile supported by firm, noble acidity. In outstanding sunny vintages, the rare sweet cuvée Renaissance elevates late-harvest Romorantin into an unctuous, honeyed nectar of breathtaking balance. Red and rosé wines delight with juicy red berry fruit, peppery charm, and gentle, silky tannins.
