Our take on this winery

Owned by the Tijou family for five generations, the Château de Bellevue is an 18th century mansion surrounded by the vineyards of the Layon valley. A variety of Anjou wines are produced at Château de Bellevue from grapes such as Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. During your cellar visit, be sure to taste the Coteaux du Layon “Chaume 1er cru”, an experience that will delight lovers of sweet Loire Valley wines.

Château de Bellevue produces wines from different Loire Valley appellations such as Savennières, Cabernet d’Anjou, Coteaux du Layon. The vineyard is cultivated according to the principles of sustainable agriculture which only uses phytosanitary products to treat the vines when necessary, and not systematically. Château de Bellevue has received our “Superb wines” badge. This badge distinguishes wineries who produce very high quality wines, consistently … and praised by French wine critics.
