Jacky Blot, Head winemaker of Domaine de la Taille aux Loups, delights us here with a very fine dry white Loire Valley wine. On the nose, Jacky Blot’s “Remus” cuvée offers scents of quince, orange zest, bee pollen and white lily. Yes, all that, and maybe even more! On the palate, the wine is lively, full-bodied and complex, with balanced acidity and a respectable finish. Jacky Blot’s Rémus is an organic wine, appellation Montlouis-sur-Loire, and of course 100% Chenin Blanc, as it should be for the appellation. In short? The Rémus cuvée from Domaine de la Taille aux Loups is a very beautiful Montlouis, superbly crafted, like all the wines from the estate. An asset to the appellation.
