Shaped by a season of well-balanced climatic contrasts — alternating warmth and coolness, uneven flowering, and staggered ripening — it allowed grapes to develop an exceptionally refined aromatic profile. The dry white wines, particularly Sauvignon-based, shine with remarkable intensity: crisp citrus, white floral notes, and a refined mineral tension. Compared to other Loire appellations, Touraine stood out in 2010 with preserved freshness, optimal ripeness, and a fruit-acid balance surpassing the more inconsistent expressions from Anjou or Centre-Loire. Yields were above average, yet quality remained uncompromised.
