The 2010 Saumur vintage is divine, marking a year of excellent climatic conditions. After a warm spring and irregular flowering, the summer alternated between heat and freshness, creating an environment where grape maturation varied across parcels. These conditions allowed the production of remarkably structured wines, reminiscent of 2006 but with a less tense style than 2008. Harvest was early and quick, with great maturity levels, and the vines suffered little from disease, preserving the purity of the fruit. Compared to other Loire appellations producing dry white wines, this vintage presents a harmonious balance between richness and freshness, with a beautiful structure and exceptional aromatic complexity. Yields were average, but the wine quality is undeniably high, earning an impressive rating of 4.6/5.
