While July rains and mildew pressure\u2014especially for organic growers\u2014kept everyone on their toes, a sunny, dry September brought optimal ripening, particularly benefiting the region\u2019s flagship Sauvignon Blanc. The resulting dry whites are expressive, aromatic (think citrus, pear, white flowers), and well-structured with bright acidity and moderate alcohol\u2014perfect for Loire river fish or a sunny terrace in Montlouis. Overall yields were above average, thanks to generous fruit set and favorable harvest conditions, despite some localized losses from rot.
