But summer came to the rescue: warm, dry, and reassuringly stable, followed by just enough rain in September to ease ripening. The result? Dry whites showing beautiful precision\u2014fresh, balanced, and aromatically expressive. Crunchy sauvignon, tight yet elegant chenin\u2014Touraine pulled through with style. Compared to other Loire appellations, it didn\u2019t necessarily shine brighter, but delivered more consistency. Yields were low due to the rough start, but quality came through loud and clear.
